IP Intelligence Terms

IP Address

A unique numerical identifier assigned to every device connected to a network.

Geolocation

The process of determining the real-world geographic location of an IP address.

ASN (Autonomous System Number)

A unique identifier for a network or group of networks under a single administrative authority.

Proxy Detection

The process of identifying IP addresses that are using proxy servers or VPNs.

Risk Score

A numerical assessment of the likelihood that an IP address is associated with malicious activity.
